About TMenMission Statement TMen provides support, community, and socializing for everyone on the transgender spectrum who was assigned female at birth and no longer feels that is complete or accurate. We welcome, and try to provide space and content for FTMS, genderqueers, intersexed folks, those questioning their gender, transbutches, transmen, bois, FTMs who now identify as men, trannyfags, and many other flavors of gender (referred to in short form as "FTM+"). How does the group work? A Yahoo! email list, MNBoyz, serves as online peer support, community forum, and communication tool. Our website www.tmen.net contains general group information, updates, plus a multitude of valuable links to local and national trans-related information. TMen is based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and primarily serves that region and the surrounding areas. However, anyone is welcome to attend events, and the MNBoyz email list simply requires that you reside in the Midwest. There is a monthly TMen meeting that alternates between a peer-facilitated support meeting and a social gathering. The support meetings are devoted to a scheduled topic with ample time for other discussion and/or questions. The social gatherings are designated for dinner, conversation, and other fun activities. Plans and locations for both vary. A schedule is available on our website plus additional, up-to-date information is frequently posted on the MNBoyz email list. Support meetings and social gatherings are open to partners, friends, families and allies; everyone is welcome! All meetings are wheelchair accessible and scent-free; please refrain from wearing cologne or other scented products. To join: You will receive an automatic email asking for some general details around why you want to join the list (nothing too personal). We look forward to meeting you! |
