The film Boy I Am was shown at this meeting. The meeting began at FUS but was moved to a members home for the film showing.
The film's website describe it as:
The topic for the last meeting was Anger. Much of the discussion included what typese of situations tend to generate anger as well as tips for dealing with anger. The meeting itself had quite a few people show up and generated an intense discussion.
Here are some good resources for dealing with anger as well as learning to express intense emotions in productive, and safe, ways:
Control Anger an article from the American Psychological Association (APA)
Many good ideas were generated at this meeting. In general it it looks as though the development of more social spaces was important as well as an expansion of activities that allow people to teach and share skills. The self defense classes have been an excellent example of this and it sounds like this is something people would like to see more of.
The health fair last night was incredible, so many people ... make sure to make it out today. It's fun even to just wander around and score free yummy meals even if you're not into workshops. http://www.mntranshealth.org/
I just jiggered the interwebs and now tmen.net points to this new site. Let us know what you think!
The topic for the April 2008 was scheduled to be related to local resources and what resources people would like to have access to. The meeting was cancelled to allow people to attend a screening of Southern Comfort. While no discussion occurred this week here are some local resources that might be of interest to people. Some of the resources are FtM+ or FtM+/SOFFA specific while others are more general to the larger trans and SOFFA community.

The 4/14/2008 meeting was cancelled due to a conflict with a trans movie being shown by another group. Go see it!
