About TMenMission Statement TMen provides support, community, and socializing for everyone on the transgender spectrum who was assigned female at birth and no longer feels that is complete or accurate. We welcome, and try to provide space and content for FTMS, genderqueers, intersexed folks, those questioning their gender, transbutches, transmen, bois, FTMs who now identify as men, trannyfags, and many other flavors of gender (referred to in short form as "FTM+"). How does the group work? There will be handouts on various topics, information on local resources, and ample time for questions and conversation. Partners are welcome either independently or with your FTM partners. follow-up to meeting for August 11thThe topic for the last meeting was Anger. Much of the discussion included what typese of situations tend to generate anger as well as tips for dealing with anger. The meeting itself had quite a few people show up and generated an intense discussion. Here are some good resources for dealing with anger as well as learning to express intense emotions in productive, and safe, ways: Control Anger an article from the American Psychological Association (APA)

Blog Follow Up for Monday May 12th (I wasn't there so I borrowed from notes that were sent)Many good ideas were generated at this meeting. In general it it looks as though the development of more social spaces was important as well as an expansion of activities that allow people to teach and share skills. The self defense classes have been an excellent example of this and it sounds like this is something people would like to see more of.
Health Fair is awesome!The health fair last night was incredible, so many people ... make sure to make it out today. It's fun even to just wander around and score free yummy meals even if you're not into workshops. http://www.mntranshealth.org/
