Mission Statement
TMen provides support, community, and socializing for everyone on the transgender spectrum who was assigned female at birth and no longer feels that is complete or accurate.
We welcome, and try to provide space and content for FTMS, genderqueers, intersexed folks, those questioning their gender, transbutches, transmen, bois, FTMs who now identify as men, trannyfags, and many other flavors of gender (referred to in short form as "FTM+").

TMen meetings are peer-facilitated and designed to provide each other support and socializing on our own terms.
So that everyone can attend please refrain from wearing cologne or other scented products.

Whether you are just starting to question gender, transitioning, or simply wanting to talk to someone who “gets it”, you’re welcome to join us. There will be handouts on various topics, information on local resources, and ample time for questions and conversation. Partners are welcome either independently or with your FTM partners. Afterwards everyone is invited to share a meal and socialize at Jakeeno’s Pizza and Pasta, 3555 Chicago Avenue.

if you have experience with parenting as a member of the FtM+/SOFFA community and/or you have begun the process of becoming a parent you are strongly encouraged to attend to share experience and information
This topic is expansive and can cover a range of areas including (but not limited to):

- What is involved in transitioning if you have children?

The topic for the last meeting was Anger. Much of the discussion included what typese of situations tend to generate anger as well as tips for dealing with anger. The meeting itself had quite a few people show up and generated an intense discussion.

The next TMen meeting is Monday August 11th at 7:00 pm. We will be meeting at the Unitarian Society, 900 Mount Curve Ave.
Many good ideas were generated at this meeting. In general it it looks as though the development of more social spaces was important as well as an expansion of activities that allow people to teach and share skills. The self defense classes have been an excellent example of this and it sounds like this is something people would like to see more of.
